The CACD IDPAD Excellence Gala is a distinguished celebration of Black excellence, leadership, achievement, and legacy. Inspired by the United Nations International Decade for People of African Descent, the Gala will bring together youth and families, business and institutional leaders, elected and public officials, educators, philanthropists, and community champions.
More than a celebration, the Gala is an opportunity to build partnerships and mobilise meaningful investment in the next generation—helping young people gain the knowledge, mentorship, connections, and opportunities needed to become tomorrow’s leaders and legacy-builders.
An Evening of Excellence, Leadership and Legacy
Guests will experience the IDPAD Excellence Honours, distinguished speakers and special guests, inspiring youth and community stories, cultural performances, dinner, and meaningful networking. The evening will also include the VIP Leadership and Legacy Reception and the public launch of CACD’s New Direction—connecting learners, leaders, and legacy
Gala proceeds and partnerships will support CACD’s Learners to Leaders+ Framework, the Sonia Cunningham Scholarship Fund, youth leadership, mentorship and career-development opportunities, and CACD’s vision for a Centre of Excellence for Leadership, Innovation and Community Development.
