Connecting Young People to Careers, Opportunities and Their Future
Citizens for the Advancement of Community Development (CACD) is pleased to
present the CACD Career and Workforce Engagement Fair, one of the signature events
of our 2026 Summer F.L.A.M.E. (Future Leadership, Access, Mentorship and
Employment) Programme.
Designed to inspire, inform, and empower young people, this interactive event
connects youth directly with employers, industry professionals, post-secondary
institutions, skilled trades, government agencies, and community organizations.
Whether participants are exploring career options for the first time or beginning to plan
their educational and professional future, the Fair offers valuable opportunities to
learn, network, and discover the many pathways available to them.
Throughout the day, participants will have the opportunity to engage with exhibitors
from a wide range of sectors, including business, finance, healthcare, technology,
engineering, skilled trades, education, public service, media, entrepreneurship, and
community development. Exhibitors will share insights into their professions, discuss
educational pathways and career opportunities, and provide practical advice on
preparing for today’s evolving workforce.

As part of the experience, students will also participate in CACD’s Career Passport

career opportunities across multiple sectors. The challenge promotes active
engagement while helping participants broaden their understanding of the many
exciting possibilities available to them.
What to Expect
Preparing for the Workforce of Tomorrow
The Fair places a special emphasis on future-focused careers and emerging industries,
including Artificial Intelligence, cybersecurity, robotics, digital media, environmental
sustainability, innovation, and entrepreneurship. Participants will also gain practical
knowledge in key areas, including résumé development, interview preparation,
workplace communication, personal branding, career planning, and professional
networking.

The Career and Workforce Engagement Fair reflects CACD’s commitment to preparing
